Soft Box... and a piano

So for Christmas my wonderful wife got me a soft box for my camera flash... and well I have not used it until the other night when I had a few seconds before friends came over for dinner. I took some more pictures of our piano. Hope you like what you see... I played with the focus of the two different photographs...

Dining room chair

So this morning on the way out the door to church I saw our chair with the shadows of our blinds on it. So I had to take a picture. The first one I took was too dark so I played around with it. I just could not get the look I saw with my eyes. So I pulled out my flash and this is what I came up with. This best represents what I saw this morning!

Piano

My wife loves to play the piano for those of you who do not know. And from time to time, I oil the wood on the piano. Yesterday was one of those days when I pulled it all apart and oiled every nook and cranny that I could get to.
